After a whole year of anticipation, I was lucky enough to watch New Moon. I was NOT disappointed! First of all, I have to say that it was WAY better than Twilight. The directing was obviously better! The actors were better coached, and I was so proud of Kristen Stewart's portrayal of Bella Swan. She has already matured as an actress way beyond her years. Robert Pattinson has fine-tuned his American accent and sounded a lot more natural than he did in Twilight. The effects were much better. The fight scenes were very well planned and believable. The movie left out several key points of the novel, as was expected. Bella did not receive plane tickets from Carlisle and Esme for her birthday. We didn't get to see Bella going to her room to discover all the pictures of Edward and the tape of her lullaby were gone. No reference was made to Bella ripping out the stereo in her truck. During the scene in Volterra just after Bella saved Edward from revealing himself in the sunlight, he immediately told her that he lied when he said he didn't want her. In the novel, she did not learn this until much later. I loved the way that the Volturi were portrayed. They were just downright creepy. Their faces, their voices, their wardrobe were all really scary. I was disappointed in the wolves. The actors who portrayed the wolf pack were a great addition to the movie. They looked really hot! (Especially Kiowa Gordon) But the wolves themselves looked VERY fake. Obviously real wolves couldn't be used in every one of their scenes, but I think they could have done better. I really enjoyed getting to see Edward as he appeared in Bella's hallucinations, and when Robert Pattinson unbuttoned his shirt in Volterra -- Whew! -- the movie audience gasped! It was a great movie in my opinion, and I can't wait to see it again later this weekend. I am amazed at how many tickets have been presold. I live in a small town, and they were showing the movie on 4 sold-out screens. Pretty impressive!

Was it just me or did Taylor Lautner seem a little awkward and boring on the Jay Leno Show last night? Taylor appeared on the show right before attending the premiere of New Moon, in which he will star as Jacob Black. Every time Jay asked him a question, he paused for a bit and came out with a boring answer. For example when Jay asked him what he did for fun during his time off from filming, Lautner said that he bowled at a senior citizens bowling alley. Jay kept changing the subject and asking questions to try to take the interview in a more interesting direction, but Taylor kept giving lame answers. He ended the stint by tossing a football with Jerry Rice. I hope Taylor has more on-screen charisma in New Moon than he did on The Jay Leno Show.

The superstars of Twilight were all out wearing their finest for the premiere of the second installment of the Twilight saga, New Moon. Kristen Stewart (Bella Swan) looked better than she has looked in awhile. She must have somehow found a hairdresser to tame that Joan Jett hairdo into something pretty for the occasion. Her light-beige sparkly evening gown looked great against her smooth, fair skin tone. Taylor Lautner (Jacob Black) looked well-groomed, but I felt like he could have been a little dressier for the occasion. His skinny tie looked retro-chick under his tailored light gray suit. Robert Pattinson (Edward Cullen) looked gorgeous as ever. I liked his choice of a very classy tux. Elizabeth Reaser (Esme Cullen) and Peter Facinelli (Carlisle Cullen) appropriately wowed the crowd in their attire. They looked great as the heads of the Cullen clan. Ashley Greene (Alice Cullen) won the best dressed on the red carpet award, in my opinion. She looked absolutely beautiful in her red floor-length gown. I didn't even notice what Jackson Rathbone (Jasper Hale) and Kellan Lutz (Emmett Cullen) had on. I couldn't take my eyes off of their charismatic smiles! Kristen Stewart may try to give off a bad girl vibe, but she's really a good girl at heart. Despite all of the promotion work for the sequel to Twilight, New Moon (which is premiering Nov. 20), Kristen Stewart found time in her busy schedule to promote a charity she really cares about. She showed up at Dodgers Stadium in Los Angeles yesterday to kick off the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's Walk to Cure Diabetes. She and legendary boxer Sugar Ray Leonard cut the ribbon to officially commence the event. Way to go Kristen!

The Twilight cast has officially wrapped up filming Eclipse as of Saturday night. OK Magazine reported that Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson might have had an off-screen split due to fact that the two left the wrap-up party in separate vehicles. Lainey Gossip reported that this is normal. The two always have arrived and departed the set in separate vehicles. They go on to report that Pattinson finished 4 hours earlier than Stewart, but opted to stay until Stewart was finished with her work so they could leave at the same time. It doesn't sound like they split to me! I can't wait to see the chemistry between the two in Breaking Dawn!
