The Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn Part 1 premiered in theaters on Friday. Breaking Dawn Part 1 scored the third biggest opening day in history with a massive $72 Million in tickets sold on Friday. This falls behind New Moon which hold the record for second biggest opening day with almost $73 Million in sales and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 which brought in $91 Million. It is projected that the movie will bring in around $140 Million for the opening weekend.
The Twilight Saga Eclipse Movie comes in 4th place for the biggest opening day. I think it is pretty awesome that 3 of the 4 Twilight Saga movies released thus far are in the top 4 for the biggest opening day sales. We need to strive to make the Breaking Dawn Part 2 sales exceed the Harry Potter sales.
