New Moon Sales Breaks Many Records
The highly anticipated New Moon movie is breaking many records. Fandago recently reported that the advanced sales for the New Moon movie were the highest in history. New Moon also broke the record for grossing the largest amount of money for a midnight showing. The midnight showing was available at 3,514 theaters and brought in a whopping $26.27 Million. The record prior to the New Moon movie was held by Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince which brought in $22.2 Million on it's opening night.
The Dark Night currently holds the record for the biggest single day at the box office with $67.2 Million in ticket sales. Sources have reported that New Moon is certain to surpass the $67.2 Million mark on the opening day. The total weekend sales are expected to exceed $110 Million which will also break another record.
