Summit wants More Twilight Movies

It is no secret that at the end of the day Movie Studios like to make money. Its not about the art. It is always about the money. Well Lionsgate and Summit are no different, and while the Twilight Films got an extension making the last book into two parts (making it five films) they are not done milking this cow. They want more Twilight films.

So what will Lionsgate (who now owns Summit) do when the last film is out and there is no Twlight to cash in on? Well it seems like their plan is to encourage Meyers to write another Twilight novel so they can keep doing just that.

I can see why they would want more Twilight. It seems to be an unending flow of income for the studio, and easily one of the biggest. But will Stephanie Meyers want to continue writing stories in this world?

I think she just might. The fans are just going to keep going to the movies and buying her books if she writes them.

She already has a completely separate book The Host that is headed to the big screen as well. Why not start another Twilight series?

Personally I would rather she have a story outside the Cullen clan. Maybe something dealing with the Volturi?
