Is American Idol’s Adam Lambert the Next Edward Cullen?
Earlier this week, American Idol contestant Adam Lambert performed Satisfaction for the judges. In his critique, Randy Jackson compared the singer to Robert Pattinson. Ryan Seacrest, who has already confessed to being a Twilight series fan, called him the next Edward Cullen.
I thought Adam Lambert was very cute, but a little too feminine-looking for my taste. I didn't see the resemblance to Robert Pattinson at all. Just because the guy had the goth look going on doesn't make him the next Edward Cullen.

Robert Pattinson is not even in the same league as Adam Lambert. Adam leaves Robert FLAMING IN THE DUST. I don’t see what everyone likes about Robert: he actually weirds me out. A lot. Adam is not only drop-dead sexy, but he has the most ADORABLE personality, and hot damn that voice makes me melt like wax! Edward Cullen is the half-assed fantasy-boy pulled out of Stephanie Meyer’s fangirly little head, anyways. Robert suits the role just fine. Adam could move on to so much bigger better things, like, say… being an American Idol that millions of females can justifiabley obsess over? <3

adam lambert is what you could say out of this world he is the most gorgeous man that has ever walked this earth his voice is phenomenal completely out of this world god given natural talent that can be compared to celine dion’s natural voice he is a superstar and he will go far in music. i just could talk about him all day. what a hunk. hes tall, sooo worked out, jet black hair, gorgeous sky blue eyes, perfect chiseled features, beautiful smile. he is a dream. now i love robert pattinson too, but i just cant compare him to adam lambert.
I’m a HUGE Lambert fan and believe that he could easily take the place of Pattinson as Edward Cullen. As of about 4 minutes ago, he took his place right here in my head.

Girls, I think you misunderstood what Randy means when comparing Adam with Robert. He doesn’t mean Adam looks like Robert or will replace Robert as Edward Cullen. What he means is Adam has that shining star hotness and charisma, he could be the next best/hottest thing that makes girls crazy and obsessed abt, just like what Robert has achieved with his Edward Cullen’s persona.
BTW, personally I think we shouldn’t compare Rob and Adam as they are of different fields. Adam is a singer (although he also works in theatre) and as a singer he has the vocal range and singing technique that Rob could only dream of. While Rob is a talented young movie actor to be reckoned with, an achievement that Adam could only dream of.

Through reading the books I would say Adam Lambert should be Edward Cullen. He is everything I dreamed he should be. I agree he looks nothing like the ACTOR Robert Pattinson but that doesn’t mean he is Edward CULLEN; he fails as Edward. As hot as he may be, it doesn’t work. Sorry Robert but my vote would have gone to Adam. He fits the part.
No. Adam Lambert is NOT the next Edward Cullen. What does Adam have to do with a creepy stalker who watches 17-year-olds sleep? Adam is sexy as hell and when he sings, he makes me melt a little. He’s also adorable and his personality is so cute, it’s impossible not to love him. Edward has no personality whatsoever. He’s really just Smeyer’s idea of the perfect man, but he’s SO not. I’d pick Adam Lambert over Edward any day.
