New Moon Will Not Be Filmed in Volterra, Italy

montepulciano Everyone who has read Stephenie Meyer's sequel to Twilight, New Moon, knows that Bella and Edward are finally reunited when Bella travels to Volterra, Italy to stop Edward from revealing his sparkly skin in the sunlight in order to anger the Volturi coven of vampires. When news got out that New Moon would be made into a movie, the city of Volterra launched a campaign to get their city chosen for a filming location. It didn't work. Summit officials  have met and decided that Montepulciano would be a much better location for the filming of the Volterra scenes. Montepulciano's town square and clock tower are pictured above. What do you think? Will Montepulciano make a better filming location than Volterra? Leave your comments in the Twilight Gear Forums. _____________________________________________________________________________ Buy-New-Moon-ShirtNew Moon Shirt that says 11 20 09 Where Will You Be? I think Montepulciano is a very nice place to film but as I was reading New Moon I pictured more of what Volterra looks like. I am sure that wherever they chose to make New Moon it will be great. I am truly looking forward to it in November 2009. =o)
