Kristen Stewart Overcomes Awkwardness
Just like her Twilight Saga character Bella Swan, Kristen Stewart has been known for her awkwardness in the limelight. As a nervous, eighteen-year-old actress, she had a tendency to make comments to the media without thinking that often come across as tactless and offensive. Just as Bella has grown into a mature young woman on the big-screen, Kristen Stewart seems to have matured and exudes much more confidence when dealing with publicity. In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Stewart addressed her former awkwardness.
When asked if she felt more at peace about being in the spotlight these days, Stewart answered, "I just feel more comfortable, more myself, and I feel less bare. I feel much more like nobody can take anything from me. Before, I felt literally like my chest was cracked open and people could just reach in and examine and pick at anything they wanted, and it just freaked me right now."
EW: Speaking of your hair, you definitely don't play with yours as much as you used to.
KS: No, because it's not my hair.
Taylor Lautner interjected and said, "Nope, it was a wig."
KS: I'm just going to be really honest right now: Yeah, I finally dropped my tic.
